Itinerario


DAY 1: Huaraz - Rocotuyoc Lagoon & Frozen Lagoon - Huaraz

  • 9:00 a.m. Departure from your hotel or designated meeting point, traveling north of Huaraz. Along the way, enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Cordillera Blanca as we head toward the picturesque Quebrada Honda.
  • First Stop: Pacharuri Waterfall – Be captivated by this majestic waterfall, surrounded by the grandeur of the Andes.
  • Second Stop (Optional): Ancient Rock Paintings – Discover these fascinating relics, a testament to the history and culture of the pre-Inca civilizations that once thrived in this region.
  • Third Stop: Rocotuyoc Lagoon – Perched at an altitude of 4,500 meters above sea level, this serene lagoon enchants with its turquoise-green waters and breathtaking surroundings.
    From Rocotuyoc Lagoon, we’ll embark on a scenic 40-minute hike to Frozen Lagoon, nestled at the base of the imposing Nevado Paccharaju (5,745 meters above sea level). This stunning glacier provides a dramatic and unforgettable backdrop to this unique Andean landscape.
  • Return: We’ll make our way back to Huaraz.

    • Light clothing for the day and warm layers for the morning/evening.

  6. What is the best season to do the tour?

  7. The ideal season is from May to October. However, the hike can be done year-round; you only need to bring waterproof clothing to protect yourself from the rain.

  9. The hike start and end in the city of Huaraz - Ancash.

  10. How to get to Huaraz?

  11. By air: Anta Airport (ATA, Comandante FAP Germán Arias Graziani Airport) is currently only for domestic flights, so all international travelers by air must disembark in Lima and go through customs.

    • The best way to get to Huaraz is by air, currently there is only one airline operating: LATAM.
    • Flight time: 1 hour 10 minutes.

    By land: This is the most common route, with a paved road of 404 km from Lima. Try to book the bus cama service for a more comfortable journey and rest during the trip.

  12. Do you organize transfers/pickups from the airport?
