Acclimatizations Trips in Huaraz
En Huaraz encontramos multiples atractivos en la Cordillera Blanca y Cordillera Negra, gracias a ello ofrecemos una gran variedad de actividades de un día como opciones perfectas para los viajeros que desean acostumbrarse a la altitud antes de su caminata o expedicion de varios días:
Dayhike to Lake Churup:
Close to Huaraz, after a 50 minutes drive to Pitec the trailhead. This hike is perfect for acclimatisation, a 2½ hours steady climb brings you to the crystal clear blues and greens of Lake Churup at 4450m, nestled at the base of the snowy peak bearing the same name.
Dayhike to Lake 69:
Although this trek involves a 2½-hour bus ride to the trailhead, the rewards are worth the trip. The journey to the trailhead takes you past the sparkling, turquoise lakes of Chinancocha and Orconcocha in the Llanganuco valley, with views of the peaks of Huascaran (6768m), Huandoy (6395m), Chacraraju (6112m) and Yanapaccha (5460m).
The 5-hour round trip trek begins with a gentle gradient along the Yanapaccha valley, thereafter winding its way steadily up to the stunning Lake 69 situated at the base of Chacraraju.
Pukaventana:
This is a relatively short trek just outside of Huaraz with two main viewing areas that provide views of the city and the two mountain ranges of Cordillera Blanca and Negra.
½ Day hike in Wilkacocha:
We start with this beautiful hike close to Huaraz in Santa Cruz bridge (3100m). This lake is located in the Cordillera Negra, at 3750 meters, with a spectacular and panoramic view to the mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, such as Huascaran, Huandoy, Chopicalqui, Vallunaraju, Ranrapalca and others, after take many pictures we will go down to Huaraz.
½ Day rock climbing in Chancos:
Located 40 minutes north of Huaraz, a few minutes from the Chancos thermal baths.
Excellent place for beginners and lovers of this sport. It has about 8 equipped routes of varying difficulty. An ideal place to enjoy this sport, nature and the hot springs.
1 Day rock climbing in Hatun Machay:
Hatun Machay es un bosque de piedras ubicado en la cordillera negra entre Huaraz y Conococha, a 4200 m s.n.m. Tiene una extensión de 200 hectáreas.
La mayoría de las rutas aquí son largas. Hay rutas desde el IV grado hasta algunos proyectos de octavo grado, además podemos encontrar gran cantidad de boulders en la zona.
Casi el 100% de las rutas equipadas se encuentran en la parte externa del bosque, las zonas internas del bosque no han sido equipadas para mantener el equilibrio del ecosistema y mantener focalizada la intervención humana.
En Hatun Machay se cuentan entre 200 y 300 vías deportivas. La gran mayoría con su respectivo topo, en la actualidad esta es la escuela de escalada deportiva más grande del Perú.
